Suzuki Motor Corporation recorded global sales of 80 million vehicles during the January-August 2023 period.
Of this total, 28.9 million units were sold in Japan, with the remainder sold overseas.
Suzuki has 15 vehicle production bases in 10 countries, including Japan. To date, Suzuki vehicles are marketed in 184 countries.
In terms of model, the Alto was Suzuki's best-selling vehicle from January to August 2023, with sales volume reaching 16.01 million units.
This figure represents 20% of Suzuki's total global sales during that period.
The Suzuki WagonR series ranked second with sales of 9.5 million units, followed by the Swift (8.96 million units), Every (8.39 million units), and Carry (7.28 million units).
Meanwhile, sales of the Vitara and Jimny series were both less than 4 million units during this period, as shown in the graph.
Regarding this achievement, Suzuki Motor Corporation President and Director, Toshihiro Suzuki, expressed his gratitude to all customers who have used Suzuki products.
"We will also continue to provide products and services that support customers' daily transportation, environmentally friendly vehicles, and reliable everyday companions," said Toshihiro in his official statement on Wednesday (October 4, 2023).
