Nissan Motor Indonesia experienced a decline in car sales throughout November 2021. Compared to the previous month and the same period the previous year, this decrease was quite significant.
Nissan's wholesale car sales (from the sole authorized distributor to dealers) totaled 376 units in November 2021. This figure is down 37.95% compared to the previous month but grew by 774% compared to November 2020, when only 43 units were sold.
Cumulatively, from January to November 2021, sales for the Japanese manufacturer decreased by 73.32% to 2,886 units compared to the same period the previous year, which reached 10,819 units.
Nissan's current market share is only 0.4% of total wholesale sales from January to November 2021. This figure places Nissan 11th among the best-selling car brands domestically. Toyota still holds the top position with a 33.3% market share.
Meanwhile, total retail sales (from dealers to consumers) of Nissan from January to November 2021 reached 5,888 units. This amounts to 0.8% of the total national retail car sales market share, which reached 761,681 units.
Nissan's market share ranks 10th, below Hino and Wuling, with market shares of 2.3% and 2.8%, respectively.
