Garuda Indonesia and Citilink are preparing approximately 1.8 million airline seats for the 2023/2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period.

Ticket sales will be available from December 18, 2023, to January 8, 2024.

Garuda Indonesia's CEO, Irfan Setiaputra, stated that the number of available seats has surged by 30% compared to last year's Nataru season.

For this year-end holiday, Garuda Indonesia will prepare 818,688 seats. This comprises 607,283 seats for domestic routes and 211,405 seats for international routes.

Citilink will provide 1.07 million passenger seats, with 1.01 million seats for domestic routes and 61,714 seats for international routes.

"The availability of flight seats during the peak Nataru season is supported by the operation of extra flights from Jakarta to several destinations," said Irfan in his official statement, as reported by Kompas.com on Thursday (7/12/2023).

He explained that these destinations include Balikpapan, Solo, Semarang, Pekanbaru, Lombok, Makassar, Kualanamu, and Manado, which will be served by Garuda Indonesia.

In addition, there are also extra flights on various intra-Sumatra routes served by Citilink, such as Kualanamu-Gunung Sitoli round trip (PP), Kualanamu-Pekanbaru PP, and flights to Bali from Jakarta and Lombok.
