Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bali's exports in 2020 were recorded at US$456 million. This figure represents a 22.87% decrease compared to the previous year, which reached US$592 million.
Bali's export performance has shown a fluctuating trend in recent years. In 2014, Bali's export value was recorded at US$536 million, decreasing by 7% to US$499 million in 2015.
Then, from 2016 to 2018, Bali's exports continued to increase. Bali's export value increased slightly by 1.2% to US$505 million in 2016.
The following year, Bali's export value rose by 6.3% to US$537 million, and again increased by 10.9% to US$596 million in 2018. In 2019, Bali's export value decreased by 0.67% to US$592 million, before declining again in 2020.
The United States was the main destination for exports from Bali in 2020. 32% of Bali's total exports were sent to the United States. Australia was in second place with 8.53%, followed by Japan with 6.98%.
Meanwhile, fish and shrimp were the main export commodities from Bali, with a market share of 26.84%. Other major commodities included jewelry/precious stones, which held a 12.83% market share.
