Indonesia Exported US$252.27 Million Worth of Machinery to France in 2023

Indonesia recorded exports to France worth US$962.52 million as of December 2023. This represents a drastic 13.83% decrease compared to the previous year's exports, which totaled US$1.12 billion.

Indonesia's trade record with France shows an upward trend in exports over the past 10 years. The lowest export value was US$891.54 million, while the highest reached US$1.12 billion.

Of the 97 products (two-digit HS codes) exported to France, 69 products were worth more than one billion dollars. Furthermore, according to Trademap data, 83 main Indonesian products are exported to France annually. In other words, these products are Indonesia's mainstay exports to France. The remaining products are largely also exported to other countries.

In 2023, Indonesia exported US$252.27 million worth of these goods. This is lower than the previous period's US$269.04 million.

Second on the list is vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling-stock, and parts and accessories. Exports to France in 2023 totaled US$109.85 million, lower than the previous period's US$114.57 million.


3. Furniture



Furniture exports to France are currently the largest. Indonesia exported US$62.69 million worth of furniture to France. Other major export destinations for Indonesian furniture include the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada.


4. Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances



Indonesia also exports a significant amount of nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances to France. Exports of this product totaled US$58.09 million, an increase compared to the previous period's US$34,732,000. Trademap data shows that Indonesia exports nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances to four countries, with France being the largest recipient. The other five largest export destinations for this product category are the United States, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.

Next is articles of apparel and clothing accessories, not knitted or crocheted, under HS code 62. Indonesia exported US$52.5 million worth of these goods. France remains the largest export destination for this product category. Besides France, the five largest export destinations are the United States, Germany, Japan, and Spain.
