Indonesia's Exports: 75.88% from the Manufacturing Industry

The reprocessing industry sector shows improving export performance amidst the pressures of the pandemic. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reports that the processing industry contributed the largest share to Indonesia's exports, amounting to US$15.53 billion or 75.88% of Indonesia's total exports.

The value of exports from the processing industry increased by 27.95% compared to the same period the previous year. However, compared to January 2022, it decreased by 1.23%.

Mining and other sectors became the second largest export value, reaching US$3.6 billion or 17.59% of total exports.

The value of mining and other exports increased by 84.61% from the previous year. An increase also occurred compared to the previous month, amounting to 65.82%.

Furthermore, the export value of oil and gas amounted to US$990 million. This figure is equivalent to 4.86% of Indonesia's total exports. The export value of oil and gas increased by 15.6% from the previous year and 10.39% from the previous month.

Finally, the export value of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries amounted to US$340 million or 1.67% of total exports. This value increased by 10.36% from the previous year. Compared to the previous month, however, it decreased by 10.16%.
