The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that vehicles and their parts are the leading export products of DKI Jakarta. In November 2021, exports of these products reached US$279.8 million.
Vehicle exports contributed 27% to Jakarta's total exports in November 2021. This value increased by 7.9% compared to the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m).
The next leading export products from Jakarta were fish, crustaceans, and mollusks, valued at US$114.9 million (11.1%). These products also saw a 20% increase from the previous month (m-to-m).
Jewelry/precious stones were also a leading export product from Jakarta, with a value of US$80.2 million (7.7%). However, this value decreased by 17.4% month-on-month (m-to-m).
Of the 10 leading export products from Jakarta, only 3 showed a monthly decrease. These were jewelry/precious stones, clothing and accessories (non-knitted), and soap and cleaning preparations.
Meanwhile, the other 7 products experienced a monthly increase. The highest increase was seen in knitted clothing and accessories, at 32.2%.
BPS also noted that DKI Jakarta's export trend in November 2021 increased again, reaching US$1.04 billion, or a 7.1% increase compared to the previous month. This achievement was the highest in the last 5 years. This increase was also due to the strengthening of several leading export products.
