According to the report from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the value of Indonesia's imports during January-December 2025 reached US$241.86 billion.

This figure increased by US$6.66 billion or 2.83% compared to the same period the previous year (cumulative-to-cumulative/c-to-c).

BPS said that the increase was due to an increase in non-oil and gas (migas) imports of US$10.17 billion or 5.11% (c-to-c).

Meanwhile, the value of migas imports fell by US$3.51 billion or 9.67% (c-to-c) due to a decrease in crude oil imports of US$1.04 billion and oil products of US$2.46 billion.

On a monthly basis, the highest value of Indonesia's migas and non-migas imports occurred in December, amounting to US$3.35 billion and US$20.48 billion respectively.

The lowest value of migas imports occurred in June, amounting to US$2.22 billion. As for non-migas imports, the lowest value occurred in January, amounting to US$15.45 billion, as shown in the chart above.

BPS said that the three largest suppliers of non-migas imports during 2025 were China (US$86.99 billion), Japan (US$14.42 billion), and the United States (US$9.84 billion).

"Non-migas imports from ASEAN amounted to US$32.47 billion (15.53%) and the European Union US$12.40 billion (5.93%)," explained BPS in its report.
