Indonesia Imports Food Waste from Brazil, Its Value Highest in 2024

According to Trademap data, in 2024, Indonesia imported goods from Brazil with a total value of US$5.42 million. This value increased by 11.7% from the same period last year (year-on-year/yoy).

Based on the type of goods, the highest value came from residues and waste from the food industry and prepared animal feed, amounting to US$1.92 million.

Shipments of these food residues and waste have consistently contributed the highest value, at least since 2022. From that year until 2024, their value has always been above US$1.75 million.

Next are sugar and sugar confectionery, totaling US$1.9 million. This value skyrocketed by 114.79% (yoy) from US$886.95 thousand in 2023.

Other goods include cotton, ores, wood pulp, tobacco, cereals, and electrical machinery and equipment.
