Indonesia's Main Export Commodities in the Garment Industry, H1 2025

Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia's ready-to-wear clothing export volume in the first half of 2025 reached 190,730 tons, a 10% increase year-on-year (YoY).

During this period, the export value also grew by 8% (YoY) to US$4.19 billion.

The export commodity with the highest value was ready-to-wear (garment) textiles, reaching US$3.51 billion. This accounts for approximately 84% of the total value of national ready-to-wear clothing exports.

Here is a breakdown of the value of Indonesian ready-to-wear clothing exports in the first half of 2025 by commodity:

• Ready-to-wear (garment) textiles: US$3.51 billion
• Knitted ready-to-wear clothing: US$474.94 million
• Textile clothing accessories: US$143.63 million
• Knitted socks and the like: US$44.7 million
• Ready-to-wear clothing and accessories made of leather: US$16.93 million

Here is a breakdown of the volume of Indonesian ready-to-wear clothing exports in the first half of 2025 by commodity:

• Ready-to-wear (garment) textiles: 156,630 tons
• Knitted ready-to-wear clothing: 22,390 tons
• Textile clothing accessories: 7,410 tons
• Knitted socks and the like: 3,820 tons
• Ready-to-wear clothing and accessories made of leather: 476 tons

In the first half of 2025, the United States remained the main destination for Indonesian ready-to-wear (garment) textile exports, with the following details:

• United States: US$1.93 billion
• Japan: US$264.55 million
• Netherlands: US$106.33 million
• Canada: US$101.17 million
• Germany: US$134.79 million
• Australia: US$104.43 million
• South Korea: US$178.72 million
• China: US$73.33 million
• United Kingdom: US$68.21 million
• Belgium: US$49.12 million
• Other countries: US$495.19 million
