Top 10 Export Destinations for Indonesian Traditional Medicines, H1 2025

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia exported 112.6 tons of traditional medicinal products in the first half of 2025.

The export value reached US$1.07 million, or approximately Rp17.61 billion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp16,387 per US$).

As of mid-year, the Philippines was the primary export destination for Indonesian traditional medicinal products, with a volume of 44.35 tons, equivalent to 39% of total national exports.

Indonesia also supplies many traditional medicinal products to other neighboring countries, such as Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, and Timor Leste.

The following is a complete list of the 10 main export destinations for Indonesian traditional medicine products, based on volume, in the first half of 2025:

1. Philippines: 44.35 tons
2. Nigeria: 30.56 tons
3. Taiwan: 14.18 tons
4. Cambodia: 6.21 tons
5. Brunei Darussalam: 6.07 tons
6. Myanmar: 3.11 tons
7. Singapore: 2.5 tons
8. Malaysia: 2.42 tons
9. Timor Leste: 0.69 tons
10. Hong Kong: 0.15 tons

Combined, these 10 countries accounted for 98% of Indonesia's total traditional medicine export volume in the first half of 2025.

In addition, Indonesia also exported similar products to other countries with a combined volume of 2.30 tons.
