US, Main Export Destination for Indonesian Ready-to-Wear Garments in 2024

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia exported 299,900 tons of ready-to-wear garments (garment manufacturing) in 2024.

Volume increased by 9.25% year-on-year (yoy) compared to 2023, which reached 274,500 tons.

In line with this, the value of Indonesia's ready-to-wear garment exports in 2024 grew by 5.06% (yoy) to US$7.08 billion.

In 2024, the United States (US) was the main destination for Indonesian ready-to-wear garment exports, with a volume of 155,200 tons, equivalent to 52% of total national exports.

The following is a list of the top 10 export destinations for Indonesian textile ready-to-wear garments in 2024:

1. United States: 155,200 tons (US$3.89 billion)

2. Japan: 19,500 tons (US$501.8 million)

3. South Korea: 18,800 tons (US$366.5 million)

4. Germany: 8,200 tons (US$252.6 million)

5. Australia: 8,000 tons (US$227.2 million)

6. Canada: 6,800 tons (US$217.4 million)

7. United Kingdom: 4,500 tons (US$136.4 million)

8. China: 4,100 tons (US$166 million)

9. Belgium: 3,400 tons (US$120.7 million)

10. United Arab Emirates (UAE): 2,800 tons (US$53.8 million)

In addition to the 10 countries above, Indonesia also exported ready-to-wear garments to other countries with a combined volume of 68,500 tons (US$1.15 billion) throughout last year.
