Without Diplomatic Relations, Indonesia-Israel Trade Balance Looks Like This

Indonesia does not have diplomatic relations with Israel to this day. Nevertheless, trade between the two countries continues year after year.

In 2020, for example, Indonesia's exports to Israel amounted to US$157.53 million, or approximately Rp 2.27 trillion (using an exchange rate of Rp 14,464/US$). This figure increased by 30.6% compared to the previous year, which reached US$120.63 million.

Meanwhile, imports from Israel to Indonesia amounted to US$56.53 million last year. This value increased by 123.3% compared to 2019, which reached Rp 25.3 million.

Indonesia's exports and imports with Israel have tended to fluctuate over the past eight years. Specifically, the highest value of Indonesian exports to Israel was in 2020. Meanwhile, imports from Indonesia to Israel were lowest in 2016 at US$103.15 million.

Imports from Israel peaked in 2016 at US$109.94 million. The lowest figure occurred in 2013 at US$15.60 million.

Some of the goods exported by Indonesia to Israel include electrical machinery and equipment, animal and vegetable fats and oils, animal feed, and furniture. Meanwhile, goods imported into Indonesia from that country include machinery, mechanical equipment, metal tools, and weapons and ammunition.
