The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the export volume of the computer, electronics, and optics industry reached 362,860 tons in 2024. This figure surged by 46.03% compared to the previous year, which stood at 248,490 tons.
However, the value showed a slight decrease of 0.87%, reaching US$9.24 billion in 2024, compared to US$9.32 billion in the previous year. This value constituted 3.49% of Indonesia's total export value of US$264.7 billion in 2024.
The largest export value in the computer and electronics industry comprised semiconductors and other electronic components. The details are as follows:

* Communication equipment: US$2,127.08 million
* Computers and computer peripherals: US$1,673.68 million
* Televisions and television equipment: US$1,438.06 million
* Measuring and testing instruments: US$559.62 million
* Other electronic audio and video equipment: US$483.78 million
* Audio and video recording, receiving, and reproducing equipment: US$230.15 million
* Electron tubes and electronic connectors: US$85.21 million
* Cinematographic cameras and projectors: US$36.23 million
* Electromedical equipment: US$30.70 million
* Irradiation/X-ray equipment, accessories, and the like: US$6.10 million
* Binoculars and optical instruments (excluding eyeglasses): US$5.35 million
* Magnetic and optical media: US$3.73 million
* Photographic equipment: US$1.07 million.
The computer and electronics industry export values that recorded the highest increase throughout 2024 are as follows:
* Cinematographic cameras and projectors and their accessories: 70.81%
* Photographic equipment: 38.02%
* Magnetic and optical media: 35.43%
Meanwhile, those that recorded the deepest decline are as follows:
* Communication equipment: -21.9%
* Irradiation/X-ray equipment, accessories, and the like: -13.56%
* Electron tubes and electronic connectors: -6.49%.
