The volume increased by 14.9% year-on-year (yoy) compared to 2022, which amounted to 5.05 million tons.
Total cement imports to Indonesia in 2023 reached US$3.96 billion, or the equivalent of Rp61.78 trillion (assuming Rp15,574 per US$).
In 2023, the largest cement imports originated from China, with a volume of 2.96 million tons, or 51% of total imports.
China has consistently been the largest supplier of cement to Indonesia since at least 2017.
