2023 MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix Classification: Bagnaia Extends Lead Over Martin, Keeps Him Off the Podium

The 2023 MotoGP race in Malaysia concluded at the Sepang Circuit on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Ducati rider Enea Bastianini secured first place with a time of 39 minutes 59.137 seconds.

Alex Marquez finished second, trailing by only 1.535 seconds. Francesco Bagnaia, who started from pole position, could only manage third place, 3.562 seconds behind the winner.

Despite not winning in Malaysia, the Ducati rider remains firmly at the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings with 412 points.

His rival, Jorge Martin, failed to reach the podium as his position was consistently overtaken by Bagnaia during the race.

As a result, the Prima Pramac Racing rider remains in second place in the provisional MotoGP standings with 398 points, 14 points behind Bagnaia.

This makes the competition between Bagnaia and Martin for the 2023 MotoGP title even more intense. Only two races remain in the season: Qatar (November 20, 2023) and Valencia (December 26, 2023).

Marco Bezzecchi, who finished sixth, currently holds third place in the standings with 323 points.

Brad Binder, who did not finish the race at Sepang Circuit, managed to maintain his 4th position in the standings with 254 points.
