Fruits and Nuts: Indonesia's Top Exports to Afghanistan

The Trademap report shows that Indonesia's exports to Afghanistan reached US$21.38 million or Rp305.88 billion in 2020 (using an exchange rate of US$1 = Rp14,307). Of this amount, the most exported commodity to Afghanistan was fruit and nuts, valued at US$5.59 million.

Indonesia also exported significant quantities of soap, organic surface-active agents, washing and cleaning preparations worth US$5.18 million. Pharmaceutical product exports amounted to US$3.30 million.

Furthermore, Indonesia exported essential oils and resinoids, fragrances, and cosmetics worth US$1.77 million. Exports of electrical machinery, equipment and parts reached US$1.61 million.

Other Indonesian commodities exported to Afghanistan included coffee, tea, and spices, valued at US$971,000. Additionally, there were exports of glassware and tableware, rubber and rubber products, various edible processed goods, various manufactured articles, and others.

The total value of Indonesian goods exported to Afghanistan in 2020 increased by 38.21% compared to 2019, which amounted to US$15.47 million. Meanwhile, the value of Indonesian imports from Afghanistan was recorded at US$21.80 million two years prior.
