North Sulawesi Province recorded a total export volume of 97,950 tons in December 2024. For exports categorized under SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) code 66 (non-metallic mineral products), the province recorded a decrease to 12.5 million tons in December 2024.
This decline in exports contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and the total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from the province in the same period the previous year were recorded at 12.5 million tons.
Sulawesi Utara's customs import documents show 21 product groups exported from the province. These goods are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The product group with the highest export volume was SITC code 42 (vegetable oils and fats).
Over the past 14 months, the highest export volume from North Sulawesi was recorded in April 2024 at 54.7 million tons, while the lowest was in May 2024 at 10 tons.
