Based on nationality, Malaysian tourists constituted the largest group visiting DKI Jakarta in May 2022, with 6,594 visits, representing 11.4% of the total foreign tourist arrivals. Singaporean tourists were second, with a total of 4,723 visits, or 8.2% of the total.

Cumulatively, foreign tourist visits to DKI Jakarta from January to May 2022 totaled 146,720. This figure represents a 221.2% increase cumulatively (cumulative-to-cumulative/c-to-c) from 45,700 visits during the same period in 2021.
