Influencers, individuals capable of influencing others, who are trustworthy and boast a large following on social media, have now established a profession with promising income potential. Social media, with its billions of users, serves as a marketing platform for both new and established brands.

Based on the type of social media platform, YouTube influencers earn the highest income compared to others. YouTube influencers with 100,000-500,000 followers can earn US$12,500, equivalent to approximately Rp 169 million, while those on Facebook earn only US$6,250, Instagram US$5,000, and Twitter US$2,000.

In fact, YouTube influencers with over seven million followers can earn up to US$300,000, or around Rp 4 billion. Meanwhile, Facebook influencers with a similar following can earn US$188,000, Instagram influencers US$150,000, and Twitter influencers US$60,000. YouTube is now the social media platform with the largest active user base in Indonesia.
