Top 10 Largest Chocolate Companies in the World

Chocolate is one of the most beloved foods and is often given during special occasions like Valentine's Day. Besides being sweet and delicious, chocolate is also claimed to reduce stress and improve mood.

According to fooddigital.com, Mars Wrigley Confectionary is the world's largest chocolate company, with annual sales reaching US$18 billion in 2021. This American company was founded in 1911 and operates in 70 countries.

Ferrero Group ranks second with annual sales of US$13 billion. Some of its popular products include Nutella, Kinder Bueno, and Ferrero Rocher. Mondelez International follows with sales of US$12 billion.

The annual sales of the Japanese chocolate company, Meiji Co Ltd, were recorded at US$9.7 billion. The Hershey Company and Nestle SA each had annual sales of US$8.2 billion and US$7.9 billion, respectively.

Other chocolate companies with the largest annual sales worldwide include Lindt & Sprungli AG (US$4.6 billion), Pladis (US$4.5 billion), Glico Group (US$3.2 billion), and Orion Confectionery (US$1.8 billion).
