Fashion and Sportswear, Best-Selling Products During Harbolnas 2021

Fashion and sportswear were the best-selling products during the 2021 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas), according to a NielsenIQ report. They accounted for 80% of sales.

The majority of items in demand by consumers ranged from clothing, bags and wallets, to accessories. Shoes, sandals, jewelry, and watches were also highly sought after during Harbolnas 2021.

Cosmetics ranked second as the most purchased product during Harbolnas 2021, with a percentage of 53%. The majority of consumers bought makeup, perfume, facial cleansers, nail beauty tools, and cosmetic tools.

Personal care products ranked third with 40%. Food and beverage products followed with 38%.

36% of consumers paid bills and topped up balances during Harbolnas 2021. There were also consumers who purchased technology products and gadgets (34%), followed by electronics (33%), daily necessities (30%), tourism (29%), books and stationery (16%), and entertainment (8%).

NielsenIQ conducted a survey of 1,021 respondents aged 15 and over from all socioeconomic strata and with internet access. The survey, conducted on December 14, 2021, in 52 cities across Indonesia, was conducted online using structured questions.
