According to a survey by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and Katadata Insight Center (KIC), the majority, or 64.6% of respondents, never add their current location information to social media.
Furthermore, 66.4% of respondents never try an application without knowing who made it.
As many as 61.1% of respondents never upload their ID card photos to social media, and 88.1% of respondents never upload their plane/train tickets to social media.
However, a small percentage of respondents still engage in such risky behavior, with the percentages shown in the graph.
This survey also found that 84.4% of respondents do not use different passwords for each of their social media accounts.
Yet, using varied passwords for each account is one of the steps to secure personal data in the digital space.

The survey has a margin of error of approximately 0.98% at a 95% confidence level using a multistage random sampling method.
