According to a *Populix* survey titled *Social Media Habit and Internet Safety*, Indonesians greatly enjoy social media. However, many reported experiencing discomfort while using it.

Fifty-two percent of respondents frequently received spam messages on their social media. Thirty-one percent had experienced online fraud via social media. Furthermore, 30% experienced app errors during social media maintenance.

The survey also showed that 97% of respondents were aware of the available security and privacy features on social media platforms. Eighty-six percent utilized these features, particularly privacy and location settings.

In addition, half of the surveyed respondents made efforts to maintain online security by regularly changing their account passwords.

The online survey was conducted from March 30th to April 1st, 2022, via the Populix app, involving 1,023 male and female respondents aged 18-55 in Indonesia. The majority of respondents were unmarried and employed.
