The 1970 Porsche 917K is arguably the most famous Porsche in the world. This model is equipped with a 4.5-liter, 12-cylinder air-cooled engine developed by Hans Mezger. This supercar gained worldwide attention for its appearance in Steve McQueen's legendary racing film, Le Mans.

After the film, the 917K was sold and then stored in a warehouse for over 20 years before returning to the spotlight in 2001. The car was eventually sold at the 2017 Pebble Beach auction by Gooding and Company.
