Forbes: Indonesia's Data Center Capacity Increased by 204 Megawatts in 2023

With the increasing interconnectedness of various things on the internet, the need for data centers in Indonesia is growing. Forbes revealed that at least an additional 204 megawatts (MW) of data center capacity will be added by 2023.

Specifically, the Indonesian and Singaporean joint venture, Triputra, ST Telemedia & Temasek, plans to add 72 MW of data center capacity by the end of 2023. This will also make this joint venture the owner of the largest data center capacity in Indonesia.

The Japanese company, NTT, plans to add a total of 45 MW of data center capacity. Furthermore, SpaceDC from Singapore will increase its capacity by 24 MW from its current 2 MW.

DCI Indonesia also plans to add 15 MW, which should be operational this year. Currently, DCI is the company with the largest data center capacity in Indonesia, at 37 MW.

Data centers are useful for centralizing the operations and information technology equipment of a company. Data and application storage, processing, and distribution are carried out through these data centers.
