Top 10 Highest-Valued Esports Teams

The popularity of esports continues to rise. According to Nielsen data, there were 2,254 sponsorship contracts for esports in 2021, a 369% increase compared to 2016.

So, which esports teams have the highest valuations? Citing Forbes, TSM (formerly Team SoloMid) is the team with the largest valuation at US$410 million in 2020.

TSM's revenue doesn't solely come from esports. In 2019, TSM acquired Blitz, a gaming training app. Revenue from this app now accounts for half of TSM's total revenue.

Next, Cloud9 is ranked second with a valuation of US$350 million. Team Liquid is ranked third with a valuation of US$310 million.

FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. FaZe's valuation is US$305 million and 100 Thieves' is US$190 million.

Venture capital investment in esports teams reached US$4.8 billion between 2016 and 2020, according to Forbes. One team, Enthusiast Gaming, is even listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada.
