Indonesia and China Vie to Launch Rockets into Space

Rocket Launch Live reports that 85 global orbital rockets successfully launched into space between January 1st and September 16th, 2021. The majority of these successful launches, 35 rockets, originated from the United States.

The highest number of orbital rocket launches from the US this year was recorded in June 2021, with 7 rockets. Conversely, the lowest number of launches was in July 2021, with only one rocket.

China ranked second, with 31 orbital rockets successfully launched into space.

Russia and Arianespace followed, each with 9 successful launches. Arianespace is the world's first commercial space transportation company and satellite launch service provider.

India successfully launched one orbital rocket, the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C51 (PSLV-C51), in February 2021.

The highest number of orbital rocket launches since the beginning of the year occurred in June 2021, with 13 rockets. The lowest number of launches was in September 2021, with only 6 rockets.

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is currently developing a spaceport or rocket center in Indonesia. Morotai Island and Biak Island are the two chosen locations, as they meet the various requirements for a spaceport.
