According to the Jakpat survey at the end of 2025, there are various mobile entertainment activities that are most popular among Indonesians.

Browsing or scrolling through social media is the most commonly chosen activity, with 71% of respondents doing this.

Still related to social media, watching YouTube is also a fairly popular activity, with 56% of respondents doing this.

Here are the mobile entertainment activities of Indonesians at the end of 2025, according to the Jakpat survey:

Scrolling through social media: 71%
Watching YouTube: 56%
Playing games: 40%
Streaming music: 34%
Reading e-books: 22%
Reading online news: 19%
Streaming movies/series: 14%
Streaming podcasts: 13%

Jakpat said that women dominate the use of social media and reading e-books, while men are much more active in playing games.

"Gen Z leads in streaming music and podcasts with a focus on audio content; conversely, Gen X is the highest consumer of online news," explained Jakpat in his report.

The survey was conducted online from November 25 to December 3, 2025, involving 2,240 respondents aged between 15 and 55 years from all over Indonesia, with a margin of error below 5%.
