According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the value of e-commerce transactions in Indonesia in 2024 reached Rp1,288.93 trillion, an increase of 17.08% (year-on-year/yoy).

In 2024, the majority of e-commerce transaction value in Indonesia originated from sales outside marketplaces, such as via social media and instant messaging applications, accounting for 84.21% of the total transaction value.

Meanwhile, transactions through marketplaces only contributed about 15.79% or Rp203.58 trillion.
