Singapore Named World's Best AI City 2025

Counterpoint released its 2025 Global AI Cities Index, a research report analyzing the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in the world's 100 largest metropolitan areas.

According to the report, Singapore is ranked as the world's best AI city with an index score of 84 out of 100. Counterpoint explains that the city has adopted AI for various government program initiatives.

Seoul ranks second with a score of 82. The assessment is based on the South Korean city's active implementation of AI in various sectors, such as healthcare and education.

Beijing follows in third place with a score of 78. Counterpoint notes that the Chinese city has announced formal AI education training for all elementary and secondary school students by 2025.

In determining the index score, Counterpoint analyzed over 5,000 AI program initiatives in both the private and public sectors, as well as other factors such as the strength of communication infrastructure, university output, and the strength of the startup ecosystem.
