Apple launched its latest smartphone series, the iPhone 17, in an online Apple Event on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
The smartphone series comprises four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
"The iPhone 17 represents a significant upgrade with advanced features that make the iPhone even more useful in your daily life," Apple stated.
This latest series features upgrades such as a brighter and larger ProMotion display, three times better scratch resistance, improved battery life, and the latest A19 chip supporting Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence system.
Design-wise, the standard iPhone 17 model remains similar to its predecessor, but the material has been changed to a unibody aluminum design, claimed to dissipate heat faster.
For the Pro models, the most striking change is the absence of the square camera bump. This has been replaced by a wider horizontal camera panel. The three rear cameras boast a 48MP resolution with a Fusion system.
The iPhone 17 series is available in five colors: Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White, and Black.
The Air models come in Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black.
The Pro series offers three color options: Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver.
The cheapest iPhone 17 model starts at US$799, approximately Rp13.13 million (assuming Rp16,445 per US$).
