Based on a HubSpot survey, various types of artificial intelligence (AI) are commonly used by marketers to create social media content.

The most widely used applications are visual AI tools, such as DALL-E and MidJourney.

Chatbot AI, like ChatGPT and Google Bard, are also frequently utilized by marketing teams for social media content creation.

"Most marketers are using AI tools in some way, whether that’s AI chatbots, generative AI tools, or AI assistants," HubSpot stated in its Global Social Media Trends 2025 report.

"70% of marketers agree that using AI will make it easier for them to grow brand awareness," they said.

The following list shows the types of generative AI used by global marketing professionals to create social media content, according to the HubSpot survey:

* Visual AI (DALL-E, MidJourney): 53%

* Chatbot AI (ChatGPT, Google Bard): 52%

* AI assistants (Microsoft Co-Pilot, Google Duet): 50%

* Audio AI (Speechify, Murf, Soundraw): 42%

* Text-generating AI (Jasper, Copy.ai, Compose AI): 41%

* Not using AI for social media content creation: 7%

HubSpot also found that 77% of global marketing professionals feel AI helps them reach their target consumers on social media.

Furthermore, 75% feel AI helps them be more creative in creating social media content, and 72% report better performance thanks to AI-generated content.

HubSpot conducted this survey in December 2024, involving 1,132 marketing professionals from various industries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
