Netflix Global Subscriber Record Tops 301 Million in Q4 2024

Based on Netflix's financial report, the number of subscribers to its video streaming service reached 301.63 million in Q4 2024.

This figure surged 15.9% year-on-year (YoY) compared to the same period last year, which stood at 260.28 million subscribers.

By the end of 2024, the majority of Netflix's global subscribers were located in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A total of 101.13 million subscribers were in these three regions.

The next largest subscriber base was in the United States and Canada, with 89.63 million subscribers.

Asia-Pacific contributed 57.54 million subscribers, and Latin America 53.33 million.

In line with subscriber growth, Netflix's revenue in Q4 2024 also grew by 16% (YoY) to US$10.27 billion. This is the highest revenue Netflix has ever recorded.

Netflix projects that its revenue will increase by another 11.2% (YoY) in the first quarter of 2025.

The positive growth in Q4 was driven by the airing of *Squid Game 2*, which became one of Netflix's most-watched original series.

*Carry-On* also entered the list of the 10 best films of all time, and the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson match became the most-streamed sporting event in history.

"We are focused on improving all aspects of our service, and with the return of our biggest shows in 2025 (*Squid Game*, *Wednesday*, and *Stranger Things*), we feel optimistic about the new year," wrote Netflix in its report.
