JakPat's survey reveals that 54% of respondents purchased fashion products this year. Of these, the majority (64%) bought fashion products through official stores on e-commerce platforms. Furthermore, 46% of respondents chose to shop via resellers on e-commerce platforms, and 27% purchased from official brand TikTok Shops.
"Shopee is the most frequently used e-commerce platform for online fashion purchases," JakPat stated in its report titled *Fashion Buying: The Present and the Future*.
Among those who bought fashion products via e-commerce, 88% used Shopee, 45% used Tokopedia, and 44% used TikTok Shop.
Additionally, some respondents purchased fashion products from department stores (25%), markets or clothing stalls (21%), mall stores (21%), and regular stores (20%).
The JakPat survey involved 1,168 respondents, narrowed down to 632 who reported buying fashion products this year. Respondents were located in non-Jabodetabek Java (49%), Jabodetabek (33%), and outside Java (18%). Respondents were predominantly millennials (53%) and Gen Z (47%).
The online survey was conducted via the JakPat app on October 23-24, 2024, with a margin of error below 5%.
