Ookla, a broadband speed test provider, has released a list of cities with the fastest median mobile internet download speeds nationally for the January-June 2024 period.

Makassar ranks first as the city with the fastest internet in Indonesia. The city recorded a median mobile internet download speed of 40.37 megabits per second (Mbps).

The capital of South Sulawesi is also the only region with a median download speed above 40 Mbps.
