According to a report by research firm Counterpoint, the iPhone 15 was the best-selling smartphone globally in Q2 2024.
This latest iPhone series achieved a 4.1% market share of total global sales in Q2 2024, followed by the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a 3.7% share, and the iPhone 15 Pro with a 3.1% share.
Meanwhile, its predecessor, the iPhone 14, ranked sixth globally with a 1.6% share.
Besides iPhones, South Korean smartphones from Samsung also made the list of the best-selling smartphones globally during this period.
The mid-range Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A15 4G achieved market shares of 2% and 1.8%, respectively.
"Offering efficient multitasking capabilities, the A15 series is very popular in the lower-middle segment," said the Counterpoint team in its report on Wednesday (July 31, 2024).
The Samsung Galaxy A55 tied with the Xiaomi Redmi 13C 4G, both achieving a 1.5% share. Xiaomi had previously been absent from the global top 10 list for several quarters.
Then, in 9th and 10th place globally were Samsung's flagship series, the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy A05, both achieving a 1.4% share.
