Data from the Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network (SAFEnet) reveals a diverse range of victims of digital attacks in Indonesia at the beginning of 2024.

The largest group comprised students, accounting for 17 victims or 25% of the total. Second were civilians, with 11 victims. Third were public institutions, with 9 victims.

Following this were 6 victims from civil society organizations (CSOs), and 4 victims who were staff members of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and activists.
