The number of Indonesians with home internet access is estimated to be low. This is reflected in the report *Status Literasi Digital Indonesia 2021* released by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in collaboration with the Katadata Insight Center (KIC).

Of the 10,000 respondents surveyed, 91.8% usually access the internet anywhere using mobile phones.

Furthermore, 50% of respondents usually access the internet while commuting to work, school, or university. Only 19.7% usually access the internet at home.

Even fewer respondents usually access the internet at cafes or restaurants (6.8%), workplaces (5.6%), or schools/universities (3.6%).

Additionally, 1% of respondents use internet cafes, and 1.2% use other locations.

This survey involved 10,000 respondents across Indonesia. Respondents were aged 13-70 and had accessed the internet within the past three months.

The survey used multistage random sampling with a home visit technique in the survey area. The margin of error is approximately 0.98% at a 95% confidence level.
