World's Most Popular AI Applications 2023: ChatGPT Takes the Crown

The AI-powered content service, WriterBuddy, has released a list of the world's most popular AI applications throughout 2023.

This data was collected from September 2022 to August 2023 using the SEMrush application. From 3,000 analyzed AI applications, it was narrowed down to the 50 most visited, representing approximately 80% of the AI industry traffic during that period.

As a result, ChatGPT ranked first as the most widely used AI application globally, with a total of 14.6 billion visits in 2023.

This AI application, developed by OpenAI, holds a 60.2% market share, significantly exceeding other similar applications.

The WriterBuddy report also shows that Indonesia is the fourth country in the world with the most ChatGPT visits, totaling 707 million visits during the period.

Next, Character.AI ranks second with 3.8 billion visits. This chatbot allows interaction similar to conversations with humans. Users can interact with fictional bot characters, ranging from famous figures to game characters.

In third place is Quillbot with a total of 1.1 billion visits throughout last year. This AI application can be used to paraphrase sentences to avoid plagiarism.
