*Descendants Of The Sun* is the Korean drama that has received the most awards to date. Its highest awards include the *Grand Prize for TV Series* at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the *Grand Prize for Excellence in Production* at the 2017 Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards.

Its two main actors, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, also received the *Grand Prize* at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the 5th APAN Star Awards. They also received the Presidential Award at the 2016 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
