Indonesia's digital competitiveness continues to improve during the pandemic. This was stated by East Ventures in its latest report, *Digital Competitiveness Index 2022* (EV-DCI 2022).
EV-DCI is a research report resulting from a collaboration between East Ventures and the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) that measures the comparative digital competitiveness of all provinces in Indonesia.
Digital competitiveness is measured based on nine main indicator pillars, including human resources, the level of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) usage, ICT expenditure, the economy, entrepreneurship and productivity, employment, infrastructure, finance, and regulations and the capacity of regional governments in each province to drive the adoption of the digital economy.
Based on these indicators, EV-DCI assesses that Indonesia's digital competitiveness continues to grow, with a national EV-DCI median index value of 35.2 in 2022. This value increased compared to 2021, which had a median of 32.1, and 2020, which had a median of 27.9.
EV-DCI also assesses that the equity of digital competitiveness in Indonesia is improving. This is evident from the narrowing gap in index values between provinces, decreasing from 61.95 in 2020 to 55.58 in 2021, and further reducing to 48.29 in 2022.
