KIC Survey: Indodax is the Favorite Crypto Platform for Investors of All Ages

Cryptocurrency is a digital asset that is currently popular among investors worldwide.

Indodax appears to be the most widely used cryptocurrency trading platform in Indonesia.

According to a survey of 1,939 cryptocurrency investors across Indonesia, about half, or 50.6% of respondents, use Indodax for their cryptocurrency transactions.

Indodax is also the most used cryptocurrency trading platform across all age groups, with 61.1% of Gen X and Boomers, 50.5% of Gen Y, and 45.5% of Gen Z using the platform.

The second most popular platform is Tokocrypto, with 38.5% of respondents using it.

Tokocrypto is more popular among younger investors, with 33.3% of Gen X and Boomers, 38.4% of Gen Y, and 40.6% of Gen Z using the platform.

Binance is ranked third, with 16.7% of respondents using it. This is followed by Pintu with 13%, and Rekeningku and Zipmex each with 10%.

This survey was conducted by Katadata Insight Center (KIC) in collaboration with Zigi and Sisi+ from September 6-12, 2021.

A total of 1,939 respondents from 33 Indonesian provinces participated in the survey. Respondents were over 15 years old and had cryptocurrency investments.

The online survey used a non-probability sampling method, with a margin of error of approximately 2.23%.

The survey also asked about platforms used to buy bonds and forex.
