Several factors contribute to public satisfaction with public transportation, as revealed in a Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) survey titled "Improving Public Transportation Services to Address Capital City Congestion."
Affordability emerged as the primary factor influencing public satisfaction, cited by 27.4% of respondents.
Punctuality followed, with 20.3% of respondents citing it as a key factor contributing to their comfort with public transportation. Adequate facilities and infrastructure were cited by 14.4% of respondents.
Other factors, such as the absence of overcrowding, ease of access to services, and comprehensive facilities, were selected by fewer respondents, as shown in the graph.
Litbang Kompas also conducted a survey on the overall level of public satisfaction with public transportation.
The results showed that 4% of respondents reported being very satisfied and 75.1% felt satisfied. Conversely, 18.2% of respondents reported dissatisfaction, and 2% indicated being very dissatisfied.
This Litbang Kompas survey involved 510 randomly selected respondents from 34 provinces across Indonesia.
Data was collected between August 8-11, 2023, using an interview method. The margin of error is approximately 4.35%, with a 95% confidence level.
