Consecutive Champion, Bagnaia Ready to Oust Quartararo from the Top of the 2022 MotoGP Standings?

Francesco Bagnaia won the MotoGP race at the Misano Circuit, San Marino 2022, on Sunday, September 4, 2022. This victory for the Ducati Lenovo team rider marked his fourth consecutive win.

Previously, Bagnaia also won the Austrian MotoGP, Dutch MotoGP, and British MotoGP. This win moved him up to second place in the provisional MotoGP 2022 standings after the 14th round, accumulating a total of 181 points after the San Marino race.

Bagnaia is now poised to challenge Fabio Quartararo, who remains firmly in first place with a total of 211 points.

Aleix Espargaro is in third place, dropping one position after being overtaken by Bagnaia. The Aprilia Racing team rider has a total of 178 points.

Enea Bastianini is in fourth place with 138 points, 73 points behind the leader.

Johann Zarco holds fifth place with 125 points. Jack Miller and Brad Binder have 123 and 115 points respectively.
