Real Madrid's Revenue Drops 7% to Rp9.67 Trillion in 2021

Based on data from the Deloitte Football Money League 2022, Real Madrid's revenue decreased by 7.37% to €640.7 million, or approximately Rp9.66 trillion (using an exchange rate of Rp15,083 per euro), in the 2020/2021 season compared to the previous season. This decline marks the second consecutive year of decrease since the 2019/2020 season, as shown in the graph.

Despite this decrease, the club nicknamed Los Blancos remained the second richest football club in the world in the 2020/2021 season. Manchester City, an English club, held the top spot with revenue of €644.9 million in the previous season.

Real Madrid's revenue breakdown for the 2020/2021 season is as follows: €321.6 million (50% of total revenue) from commercial activities; €310.7 million (49%) from broadcasting rights; and €8.6 million (1%) from matchday revenue.

In aggregate, the top 20 richest football clubs in the world recorded a total revenue of €8.18 billion in the 2020/2021 season. This represents a 1% increase from the previous season but remains lower than the €9.3 billion achieved in the 2018/2019 season.

Los Blancos is one of the world's richest clubs and holds the record for the most Champions League titles, with 14 wins between 1956 and 2022.
