FC Barcelona is among the European football clubs with the highest enterprise value (EV). In 2019/2020, the club achieved €2,869 million, or Rp 48.8 trillion at an exchange rate of Rp 17,000/€.

FC Barcelona's EV decreased by 10% compared to the previous year. However, its EV increased by 4% over the past five years. As a result, FC Barcelona ranked second as the European club with the highest EV last season.

FC Barcelona has been in the spotlight after its star player, Lionel Messi, terminated his contract. Messi, who had spent 20 years at FC Barcelona, left due to economic and structural issues in his new contract negotiations.

Real Madrid CF holds the top position as the football club with the highest EV among other European football clubs. In 2019/2020, the Madrid football club had €2,909 million, equivalent to Rp 49.5 trillion. Its value decreased by 16% compared to the previous season.

According to a KPMG report, Real Madrid CF's success is attributed to its strong commercial development and excellent on-field performance in recent years. This helped mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
