Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia Secured Top Podium at the 2022 Malaysian MotoGP, Quartararo Finishes 3rd

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia secured the top podium spot at the 2022 Malaysian MotoGP, held at the Sepang Circuit last Sunday (October 23rd).

Pecco won the 2022 Malaysian MotoGP, beating Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing) and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

He crossed the finish line with a time of 40 minutes 14.3320 seconds. Bagnaia gained an additional 25 points for his victory, bringing his total to 258 points and placing him at the top of the standings after 19 rounds.

Bastianini was 0.27 seconds behind Bagnaia, gaining an additional 20 points. Quartararo, meanwhile, was 2.773 seconds behind, gaining 16 points.

Quartararo still has a chance of retaining his title in the 2022 MotoGP. In total, "El Diablo" is 23 points behind Bagnaia in the overall points standings.

Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro, who finished 10th, only gained an additional 6 points. Nevertheless, he remains in 3rd place in the overall standings.
