2022 Austrian MotoGP Winners: Bagnaia Takes Top Spot

Francesco Bagnaia won the Austrian MotoGP race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday, August 21, 2022. The Ducati Lenovo team rider crossed the finish line first after 28 laps, recording a time of 42 minutes 14.886 seconds.

This achievement earned the Italian MotoGP rider 25 points, solidifying his position in 3rd place in the overall MotoGP standings after 13 rounds.

Pecco, Bagnaia's nickname, finished 0.492 seconds ahead of Fabio Quartararo. The Monster Energy Yamaha rider came in second, earning 20 points.

Jack Miller placed third, earning 16 points. Luca Marini and Johann Zarco followed, with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Previously, Bagnaia also won first place at the Dutch and British MotoGP races.

With his win at the Austrian MotoGP 2022, Bagnaia became the second Italian rider after Valentino Rossi to win three consecutive races in the modern era of MotoGP.
