Ali Daei remains the all-time top scorer of the Asian Cup, according to data from the sports website Goal.com.

The legendary Iranian striker has scored 14 goals in three Asian Cup editions: 1996, 2000, and 2004. His position remains unchallenged.

Ali Daei is second only to Cristiano Ronaldo in the all-time top scorer list for men's international football, with 109 goals.

According to Goal.com, Ali Daei's terror for opposing defenders was not limited to the national team; he also displayed his prowess with clubs such as Persepolis, Bayern Munich, and Hertha Berlin.

Besides Ali Daei, two other Iranian players are in the all-time Asian Cup top scorer list: Hossein Kalani and Behtash Fariba, both with 7 goals each.

Second place in the Asian Cup top scorer list is shared by Lee Dong-gook (South Korea) and Almoez Ali (Qatar), each with 10 goals.

Following them are Naohiro Takahara (Japan) and Ali Mabkhout (UAE), both with 9 goals in the Asian Cup.
